We’ve been very busy lately. Did you know that creating a web series based on one of the most popular games of all time is a difficult, time consuming, multi-faceted task that involves countless hours of loving, profit-free dedication from lots of people? And it’s something we just love doing.
With the collective decision that we want this to kick ass, we’re trying to make all of the cogs of our wheel move in the same direction at the same time. The group is about to go through a bit of a reorganization so that we become a well-oiled machine. We’re also trying to apply a concerted effort toward a few key things that are going to help us start this project off right.
Some of those things include launching an awesome website, continuing our podcast, and making a kickstarter video SO GOOD that will literally reach into your pockets and take your money – that’s how good it’s going to be. We’re coming up with some really, really cool incentives for participation in the project that include an album of music, sweet merch swag, and other stuff that is too cool to mention.
The kickstarter “speciality team” isn’t the only one that’s been hard at work. Our screenwriters are busy hacking through the scripts for Episode One and Episode Two, which we promise will be nothing like other Episode Ones and Episode Twos that might have appeared on the big screen in the last ten years.
The art team is ON FIRE with the stuff they’ve been working on and the stuff that they’ve released this week. You can always check out our Redbubble page to pick up some swag that features said art, but we have some special eye candy below from our storyboard artist Jean-Claude de la Ronde.

I keep telling them that Cloud needs more of a droopy, emo-like haircut, but they never listen. Whatever. Cloud has feelings, and there’s nothing you can say or do to suffocate his emotions (except extensive Mako poisoning. Twice.)
And as a little extra this week - we've cast our first two characters! We can't say who it is yet, but there'll be a big announcement coming soon when Project Director Daniel Purcell has stopped swirling his brandy and laughing!
Recruiting for the project is still going on. We are actively pursuing professional talent to help bring this project to the level of awesome that it needs. If you have experience in film or some other relevant area (we are also looking for someone to manage finances, give legal counsel, and be the Great Organizer), keep a look out! Once the website is released, we’re going to have an easy way for aspiring participants to contact us. For now, leave a comment on the blog! We’d love to hear from you!
That’s about it for this update, folks. Stay tuned during the week for an update from our music team!
